Mumbai:A coaching class owner was held by Bhiwandi Police for allegedly selling SSC papers to students. On Wednesday History and Political Science papers were out on Whats app.
The accused is been probed for both the cases.
This came into light as three students were found in a suspicious manner checking their mobile phones before the examination. The ‘Toppers’ Group in their Whats App account had pages of History Paper. The papers were verified and found to be the same as distributed in the Examination Hall.
The Principal of Dhondu Taware Vidyalaya in Bhiwandi,with no further delay filed a police complaint at Narpoli police station.
The police produced the arrested accused, Vajir Shaikh,who runs Career Classes in Bhiwandi’s Vetal Pada area, before a local court, which remanded him in police custody upto March 26.
Subhash Kokate, senior inspector, confirmed the arrest, but refused to give more details.
Board papers and HSC papers have been leaking on WhatsApp and Instagrams groups since 2015.
